What is Cold Process Soap?
Cold process soap is a method of making soap that involves mixing oils and butters with a lye solution. This technique allows for a chemical reaction called Saponification, where the oils and lye combine to form soap. This takes 4-6 weeks. We call this the Curing Process. Curing the soap allows it to harden and create a milder product that is gentle on the skin. Using the cold process method preserves glycerin, helping to retain moisture. Most commercial soaps remove glycerin, but the way we make our soap keeps it in for added hydration!
How do I pay?
We accept cash & card payments at the markets. For online orders, we can send you a link directly from our Chase POS System that allows you to safely enter your card information.

How can I make my soap
last longer?
1. Keep it dry & let it breathe between uses
2. Cut your bar in half or even quarters if you get a big bar
3. Use a washcloth or soap saver bag for more lather with less soap
4. Store extra bars in a cool, dry place
Why D & B over anything else?
When someone chooses a D &B soap bar instead of a mass produced one, they're: Supporting a couple who hand pours each bar with intention and care, keeping dollars in the local creative economy, reducing waste and chemical exposure from big-brand soaps, and investing in a product made with love, not a factory line. D & B soap is made a natural blend of oils and butters including shea, coconut, olive, sunflower, castor, and sweet almond oil. There are no synthetic detergents or fillers added. Just good, clean, soap.
Why do we use Essential Oils over Fragrance Oils?
We choose to use essential oils over fragrance oils because of several crucial factors, including their all natural composition, (in the recommended amount) they generally do not irritate the skin, and the various aromatherapy benefits they provide. Essential oils not only offer a pleasant scent, they also contribute positively to overall well-being, making them our choice for our scented soaps.
How come my bars look different or feel heavier than my other bars?
All of our soaps are made in small batches. We mix, pour, cut, shave, stamp and wrap each bar by hand. Tiny changes in temperature, humidity, or mixing time can affect the final product. This results in variations in swirl patterns, textures, and bar size. No change in how amazing your skin will feel! And we’re usually heavy handed with our weights 😉
